When visiting Cat Ba, tourists should not miss the boat tours to explore the distant small islands and enjoy the pristine beaches with crystal-clear waters.

The best time to visit Cat Ba is from late September to November when the weather is mild and the sky is clear, without harsh sunlight.

From December to February, the weather is cool and pleasant, suitable for relaxing trips.

The period from March to April usually experiences rain, while from June to August, the weather is hot and humid, not ideal for outdoor activities.

Cat Ba offers a variety of accommodations, ranging from budget guesthouses to 5-star hotels and seaside resorts. The most popular are the 3-star hotels along the coast, offering comfort and reasonable prices.

Most stores and hotels in Cat Ba accept payments via Visa and credit cards. However, some places may charge an additional 5% transaction fee.

Additionally, you can withdraw cash from ATMs. There are two ATMs in Cat Ba town, belonging to Agribank and Saigonbank.

The ideal time to travel to Ha Long Bay is in the autumn or spring, especially from September to November.

Located in the north of the East Sea, Ha Long Bay experiences cooler weather in the autumn and winter. Occasionally, there are cold northeast monsoon winds that make the weather harsher.

Ha Long Bay is 170 km from Hanoi. The travel time by bus takes about 3.5 to 5 hours, with most buses departing from Hanoi at 8:30 AM.

Ha Long Bay is an archipelago in the Gulf of Tonkin, with calm and serene waters. The numerous small islands around Ha Long Bay act as a shield against large waves, so seasickness due to waves and wind is very rare.

However, on some days when the water level is unstable, the boat may encounter a few small waves causing it to move up and down. Thanks to the unique limestone karst terrain, these waves do not significantly affect your sightseeing experience.

Tip: When the boat is rocking, it is advisable to limit movement to avoid seasickness.

We closely monitor weather forecasts. If the weather turns bad, we will consider whether to continue the trip and will contact the customers. We will inform you of any weather-related changes before you depart from Hanoi to Ha Long, to avoid wasting your travel time.

If the weather worsens while you are on the tour, we will stop the boat and anchor in safer, sheltered areas. In reality, we have never encountered such a situation.

How many caves will the trip visit? What boats are available for touring the bay?

Depending on the tour, each trip will have its own specialized boats.
